Lightening Cable is not working

Hi Apple, I purchased a new lightening cable in July this year.

It has been working fine since yesterday. However as of today it’s not really working well. When plugged in it shows the charging sign for less than a second and then turns off. It’s not my phone as I’ve checked it with a family members charger. There is not damage to the actual lightening cable, so I’m unsure why it’s stopped

Check the charging port for lint or other debris and see this:

If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch won‘t charge

Also see:

Identify counterfeit or uncertified Lightning connector accessories
