slow safari

Safari has slowed down and stops after trying to download upgrade; why?

iMac 21.5″, macOS 11.0

There can be numerous reasons. So many people all wanting Big Sur so Apple Servers are slow, You connection via ISP is slow, Too many devices where you are are using a lot of the bandwidth available, bad connection to Router over Wifi. Not using ethernet connection will be slower.

Once can try shutting down computer then doing the same to router. Restart Router then computer and try again.
