new Iphone 8

I tried restoring my new iPhone 8 from a back up of a seven I had but now it is just flashing the apple logo it said I had to connect it to my computer once but when I went to the site it was telling me to it told me to try restarting it first so I did. but now it won't show up again so I can't just connect it and fix it. if there is a fix I can do in my home would be preferable but anything right now would help (I'm going to delete that backup and make a new one I feel like the back up may have been corrupted and after I tried putting it on the new phone it broke ios I just hope it didn't break the phone)

I have a Microsoft pc, the cord is not counterfeit I use it for my 7, it's not showing up in iTunes because it Is not actually fully powered on therefor I can't have it on the home screen, it keeps shutting itself down repeatedly right after startup is my problem has been going for about 2 hours now
