When I delete files from "All Trash" and "All Junk" folders nothing appears in the Trash Can (far right in the dock). Where are these files going?

Old Toad posted a video illustrating what you need to do: I upgraded to Big Sur and lost the Consolidated ~Junk Mail Folder...anyone know how to bring it back? You ought to be able to adapt those instructions to your missing Trash folder also.

Thanks for responding. I am referring to the Mail app, but the problem is not a missing trash folder. I have all of my trash and junk folders. The problem is that files deleted from these folders do not appear in the trash can on the right side of the dock. Consequently, I can't open the trash can to check it's contents, nor can I put back any files I want to keep.
They don't go to the Trash bin in the Dock. They are deleted directly from the Mail app and the hard drive. Photos is the same way unlike earlier versions of iPhoto.
I understood what you wrote; I just didn't believe it. I don't know of any Mail version that ever sent deleted Mail messages to the Finder's Trash. Mail manages its own Trash, and depending on your email service provider and its settings, deleted Mail messages may exist locally, "on your Mac", or on the email service's servers.
In any event if you're looking for deleted email messages in the Finder's Trash, I think you're looking in the wrong place.
