iPhone Pro Max lighting cable and CarPlay

I just bought iPhone 12 promax it comes with lighting cable . So my car has Apple car play

and of course doesn’t have usb-c port . So can I can use my regular cable from IPhone 8 Plus ?

So just clarify a lighting to usb cabe will work on the IPhone pro Max ( which it comes with usb-c to lightning cable)
