iCloud with Mac

I currently use iCloud with my iPhones. Will my Photos Albums remain if i start using iCloud with Photos on my Mac?

iMac 21.5″, macOS 10.14

If you start using iCloud photos on your mac, the photos in your mac photo library will be merged with the photos on your iPhone and visa versa.


Both of them will remain, but they will be merged. If you have the same photos in the albums that shuld be detected and not end up with duplicates.
