Solo Safe mode turns on automatically

Randomly, and not infrequently, when I create a new audio track it's automatically placed in Solo Safe mode.

When I solo something else, I hear whatever is recorded on the aforementioned track come through. I find the troublesome track, and turn off Solo Safe mode. Then I save the project.

Later, when I make edits to another audio region on a different track, the original problem track reverts to Solo Safe mode. This is clearly a bug, likely to do with the MIDI environment implementation. Please fix it.
