iBooks Author not opening in Pages

iBooks Author not opening in Pages

My iBooks Author file won't open if I drag it to Pages and if I select it and choose Open - then Pages is not an option. Please advise

You will need Pages v10.1 (Mojave) or v10.2 (Catalina-only) to open an iBooks Author (.iba) document. Apple has an article describing what happens to certain .iba content when opened (translated) into the .pages document format.

Import your iBooks Author book into Pages for Mac

How about if in Pages you choose File > Open and then select your .iba file?

What version of Pages exactly do you have?

I tried opening from Pages, but it will not find it. I am using v8.1.

I think I need to upgrade from High Sierra to get the more recent Pages.
