Apple Watch display won't stay on

have to press crown to see display on apple watch I want it on all the time. It's set to always on.

Check to see if you have theatre mode turned on in the control centre.

New Apple watch SE , display not always on It's very annoying , I would like the watch screen to be always on. Noone told me about this when I upgraded. You have to keep pressing the watch to get the time etc and I have photos on my watch face I like to see.
