Body of emails disappearing when moved to "On My Mac" folders

The body of some emails are disappearing when I move them to "On My Mac" folders I use for sorting and for storage. This program is worthless to me if I can't trust it to keep my emails safe. Help! This is very distressing!

Emails are in a pile when I move them from mail to my desktop New computer (Ventura 13.4.1) Transferring emails from Mail onto my desktop and their icons are now in one pile. I then have to transfer them to a folder, which I then have to open in order to see separate icons and details individually. This is a 2 stage process which I find very frustrating. This did not happen on my older Mac. How can I stop this very annoying feature?

Select the On My Mac Mailbox and choose Rebuild from the Mailbox menu.

It might be the database triggers didn't update the index when you moved it.
