Restoring whatsapp data

I’ve just moved from an iPhone 6 to the XR. I need to reload whatsapp data from the old phone’s backup. How can I point at that backup to restore whatsapp.

Now I was wondering if I factory reset my device, is it possible to move only Whatsapp data and then restore from my iCloud Backup at the same time? Or is it only possible to restore from one source? This is an iCloud question not specifically a whatsapp question. How can I point my new phone at the old phones iCloud backup please?
