Cursor disappearing

Mohave updated automatically this morning. Now the cursor disappears when I move from one window to another. I can get it back by dragging three fingers on the track pad. What do I need to do to keep the cursor from disappearing? Thank you

Start with this..

Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at startup), does the problem occur in Safe Mode?

Safe mode attempts to repair Disks & clears lots of caches & loads safe Drivers, & prevents loading of 3rd party extensions, so if Safe Mode works try again in regular boot.
