Leaving Laptop on Charger

Is it okay to leave my apple laptop plugged in all day? It is convenient to me to leave it on the charger at my desk but I don't want to damage the battery

Modern portable macs provide adequate usefulness if left on AC power; some users

set up theirs as Desktop Replacements; and seldom run on battery power. However

its good to use Mac on battery power for awhile. Just don't run it flat!

While newer MacBook/Air and /Pro models use USB-C ports, some have MagSafe

ports; those have different care instructions to keep them in good working order.

Depending on what yours has, there are different Support articles for those.

Good luck & happy trails!🌞⛵️

I would say yes as it's something I've done for the last 12-14 years with all the laptops I've ever used. Like you I find it convenient in some situations. In all that time I've not known a battery or a charger to be damaged by my use of the laptop. I used to work for an Apple Premium Reseller and Authorised Repair Centre and all of us Apple Technicians did the same with no detriment to any of the equipment used.
