i was trying to erase and reinstall macos but i accidentally deleted data volumes of Macintoshhd-data and now can’t reinstall catalina , it says “the targeted volume is part of an incomplete system and cant be installed too “😭😭 please help, i don’t know what to do
Boot to Recovery and install the version of macOS that it shipped with, shutdown when prompted to set it up, that part should be done by the new owner.

Ok , i had shut it down to try again later which was a dumb decision apparently because now I can’t access recovery partition , instead macos utilities opens everytime ... I have used the alt key but there was no Recoveryhd disk .

I didn’t back it up before . I was trying to erase everything and give it to someone else .
I’ve done that and it says to select the disk to install os x mavericks but there is no disk and i can’t continue ... do you have any more suggestions 😞
Try booting to the Recovery partition and use Disk Utility to format the disk as HFS+.
There is no HFS+ in the options .. There is only APFSs
When you're in Disk Utility, you need to click on "View," then select "Show All Devises," then select the top level in the left column. Then when you select Erase you will have the option for HFS+.
Recovery boot startup keys are, "Command-R," not, "alt-R."
sorry meant to say ⌥ (Option) key , command-r doesn’t work , opens macos utilities instead recovery
