Why do I have to turn icloud photo sharing on and off each time to receive shared photos? (Ipad)

icloud photo sharing I really want the photos/videos from my iphone 11 to stop showing up on my ipad and the photos/videos from my ipad to stop showing up on my iphone! I checked the setting of both devices and the "Upload to My Photo Stream" toggle is turned off on both. I have tried turning the toggle on then off again, restarting my devices and still can't get the photos to stop sharing. Why??? Do I need seperate icloud accounts for each device?

iCloud photo sharing I signed up for iCloud to store photos from my iPhone. My husband has started getting my photos on his Android phone. How do I stop this from happening?

trouble accessing shared photos son set up icloud photo sharing but when i hit his subscribe button i get a screen that says i cannot subscribe on this device. why? (i have two gmail accounts but only one is used for my apple id. also my personal icloud storage is about full. ) any suggestions to help me access the shared photos?

If you find that you're not receiving shared photos from others -- If Shared Albums aren't working - Apple Support.

You don't have to, you can leave it on as that wouldn't hurt.

If I I don’t turn it off and on I don’t get the shared photos.
