IMac start up problem

My iMac iOS will not start up. When power applied, the startup sound is heard, the Apple logo appears and displays a loading progress. The the “progress” line is finished, the screen is on but blank

I did that. No change. It ends up with blank screen.

The final step says to take it in for service, please locate an Apple Authorized Service Provider in your area to have it serviced.
