It sounds like you have a defective Display Assembly which will need to be repaired.


See if your laptop qualifies for this free Apple backlight repair program:

Avoid Privacy Filters:

A Privacy Filter would most certainly cause this. So, take it off. Moreover, avoid using one, as it would overheat your screen, and may be considered intentional damage. As a result, that would most certainly cancel AppleCare+ Coverage, if you have it.
