1. Start up from macOS Recovery
To start up from macOS Recovery, turn on your Mac and immediately press and hold...
Command (⌘)-R
Install the latest macOS that was installed on your Mac.
Have you held power button in until it quits?
And then it does start up or what?
Click where the red arrow points & report what shows in thee rectangle I've highlighted...
It starts up and goes 3/4 of the way on the boot up and just stops
Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at startup), does the problem occur in Safe Mode?
Yes it still does even in safe mode
