Fonts crashing Keynote

Hello, I'm looking for a support with a recent problem I've been experiencing.

Keynote is crashing whenever I trying to use the text tool (it's happening in presentations were I have a specific font being used). I've tried a number of things, reinstall keynote, upgrade OS, reinstall the font, remove the font and nothing is working.

The crash report is super long but this is the first part of it:

————————

Exception Type: EXC_BAD_INSTRUCTION (SIGILL)

Exception Codes: 0x0000000000000001, 0x0000000000000000

Exception Note: EXC_CORPSE_NOTIFY

Termination Signal: Illegal instruction: 4

Termination Reason: Namespace SIGNAL, Code 0x4

Terminating Process: exc handler [1072]

Application Specific Information:

Crashing on exception: Invalid parameter not satisfying: aString != nil

Any help would be so appreciated.

It was a Fonts' issue for me...

Step 1 - Restore Standard Fonts

In Font Book, click file.

Click Restore Standard Fonts

Open iWork programs to check they are working

The above process moves your non-system fonts to a different folder

(User > Library > Fonts (Removed))

Stage 2 -

Restore disabled fontsRe-install Removed Fonts.

By dragging "Fonts (Removed)" into Font Book to install.

Check that Pages etc. is still working.

Hope this helps!

You Can Try This :-

Hold the shift key when launching Keynote after a crash and it will not attempt to load its last saved application state.

Boot into Safe Boot mode by holding the shift key at power on until the progress bar appears. Try Keynote in this mode for awhile to see if it crashes, and then reboot normally.

If you are using any anti-virus tool, that can be interfering with both Keynote and the operating system. If this is the case, completely remove the anti-virus product.

If you are using a font manager, and have de-activated any fonts that Keynote requires, it will crash as often as it can until the font is re-activated.
