Deleted a 4 GB video but storage did not change

My phone has a maximum of 64 GB. I’ve been having problems with storage so I decided to delete a big video file which was 3.95 GB. I deleted it from the Recently Deleted as well. After that, I checked my storage only to see it was the same. 63.6 GB of 64 GB. I restarted my phone and the video was nowhere to be found, but the storage was still the same.

What do I do?

Did the restart do anything?

Chances are that your deleted file was placed in the "Other" category and that the file still exists on your iPhone and therefore you did not see the 4GB space free up.

Please follow the instructions in this guide published by Apple ➔ How to Clear OTHER Category on your iPhone.
