Lost phone

my daughter had her phone -11 Max pro-stolen and she replaced it with new phone. She is getting text messages about it being found with the location and I just received one on my phone. Trying to figure out if it's a scam as the link asks for apple id and password.

iPhone stolen and now I am getting texts of the new owner i got my iphone 13 stolen. we reported it to the authorities but nothing was done even if they new the location. spoke to apple support in the store and they just told me to lock the phone and reported as lost under "Find My". Today i received a message from an iCloud account saying that he bought a phone from someone and that it has all my information. He sent me a text via i cloud so i could not see the number. i also got a text from 31*****557 saying that my iphone has been found with a link to check the location. which i did not open. i need help on how to proceed. the Apple support person ensured me that no one was able to access m y information since the phone was reported as lost. stolen phone i have been contacted y the authorities of apple because today my phone was stolen and they clame to have found it. The problem is they ask me for my apple id password, i have to confirm if this people that contact me are from apple .

If it is asking for an Apple ID and password, it is highly likely it is a scam. Probably sent by the person who has the phone and wants to access it.
