Cannot receive Instagram Notifications

Thank you for reaching out in Apple Support Communities. We understand you're unable to receive notifications from Instagram on your iPhone.

Having the ability to receive notifications from your favorite apps is important. We'll be happy to help.

Just to be sure, we recommend to review the notification settings for Instagram. On your iPhone, please go to Settings > Instagram > Notifications. You'll want to make sure that, "Allow Notifications" is turned on and to have an alert style enabled: Use notifications on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch

In addition, there's an update available for Instagram which is version 160.1. That information is outlined here: Instagram - App Store Preview

We suggest to update to the latest version by going to the App Store and following these steps: Update apps or use automatic downloads

You will also want to make sure that you install the latest iOS version update: Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Then check to make sure that Do Not Disturb is not on: Use Do Not Disturb on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch

Ensure that the date and time is set correctly: Set the date and time on iPhone

If you are using a VPN connection, try temporarily turning it off and then testing it again.
