My watch doesn’t let me update because of space but I haven’t install anything no music no photos no apps. So what’s going on how can I update it!!!

I have the same issue. Literally nothing on the watch outside of the stock apps and still need about 1GB more space for this update. How would unpairing the watch change the storage capacity?
To be honest, I don't know — I'm just going off what Apple says on the website. But, it does work, because I did it yesterday.
