I can't make calls from my contacts list, but can do if I type in the number manually. Any idea how to fix this?

Thanks for reaching out here in the Apple Support Communities. We want you to have the convenience of making calls from your contact list, and are glad to help.

Since you are able to make calls if you manually enter the number, there may be a setting that is getting in the way.

Go to Settings > iPhone > and disable Dial (or Call) Assist. This explains more about outgoing call settings: Make a call on iPhone - Apple Support

Once you change that setting, restart the iPhone using “slide to power off”.

Let us know if you can make calls from your contact list after the restart with this setting disabled.
