is it possible to use the apple watch cellular without the cellular function?

If you turn off your cellular and/or disconnect your plan through your provider. Your LTE watch would essential just be a non-LTE version. So it would require some type of bluetooth connection to your phone in order for you to receive text alerts and phone calls.
