Sim Card

It is saying no sim card installed yet I have followed the steps recommended (i.e. turned on/off; removed simi; updated phone). It is an iphone 11. Any advice?

If it is a Network / Carrier / SIM issue --> If you see 'invalid SIM' or 'no SIM' on your iPhone or iPad ...

It sounds like you are trying to install a profile on your eSIM. Is this correct? If so, you need to follow your carrier's instructions for how to install and activate your profile.
