My iphone SE headphones connect to my 16" MBP bt simply plugging them in (?) Same for my mid-2012 MBP.

Depends on your computer's ports. If you have a newer Mac with TB3/USB-C ports, you can connect them with a USB-C to Lightning Audio Adapter like this one.

But honestly, it would be cheaper/easier to just buy a standard pair of headphones.
