Email threatening spyware was installed

I received a threatening email that said I went to a website that put spyware in my iPhone and they had all my contact info and access to my camera. That if I didn’t send them Bitcoin they are going to ruin my life. Is that possible? How do I find out if this is on my phone?

if your iPhone is not jailbroken.. you have very little to worry about
