I am posting this reply as a reference in case someone else run into this issue.
When the BCA was stuck while partitioning even though the progress bar was full, I opened this discussion. Since then I closed BCA and started the process all over (yes with my 128GB flash) and in second attempt everything went thru as expected and I am now have a running Win 10 installed in my MAC.

So that I understand completely, you want me to close BCA and start over everything with another USB flash drive? I saw some discussion that you would need 32GB flash.
What will happen to the partition already created (per diskutil picture I sent you)?
Also is there anything wrong with my 128GB flash drive? It is from SanDisk.
What is the year/model of your Mac (do not post the serial number)?
MacOs Catalina version 10.15.6
MacBook Pro 13 inch Mid 2012

Hi LonerT
Can you at least advise if I can close boot camp assistant and continue using the MAC until you give me further instructions?
Thanks so much!
You can close Bootcamp assistant. Also, can you use a 16GB USB2 Flash drive instead of an external 128Gb disk for Windows installer?
Excellent!
