OS X 10.9.5 Upgrade
I'm on OS X version 10.9.5 for my iMAC bought in 2013. What is the most latest version of OS I can upgrade to and how do I do that in the most riskless fashion? - Thanks

Back up your data, check your applications for compatibility, and download Catalina.
If some of your software isn't compatible, a backup will only be useful in resolving that if you're willing to downgrade.
