If your internal speakers aren't working, the usual suspects are a settings issue. Also, make sure any external speakers are unplugged and OS is up to date. (Make sure you're backed up beforehand, just in case). And then, of course, there's always the possibility of a hardware problem. But try the foregoing steps first.
