cannot remember passcode to open my iPad Pro can I get into it from my Mac? if so how?

You will have to erase your iPad using your computer with iTunes or Finder (depending on the Mac OS version) by following the directions in this link --> If you forgot the passcode on your iPad, or your iPad is disabled - Apple Support
