Safari nor responding(spinning wheel) after I clear history, I have to force quit. It reopens usually on last web site I visited, sometimes other site, but never on homepage.
I have 13.1.2 on a 2010 MacBook pro.

Called Apple support. Super nice technician spent an hour and a half cleaning the library(30.000 items, took forever) after restarting the computer a couple of times with some funny keys combinations.
Better now, still a little long cleaning, but it does not get stuck.
He told me if problem persists next best thing is to re-install Safari. Hope this help. Cheers.
Mine is 2010, I just called 800 275 2273. He did not mention any charge or anything. But who knows, now that u mention it, maybe I'll get a bill from Apple. Strange because they usually make it clear if they charge you. Maybe try and ask.... if they charge. Expect to wait in line a bit.
Having same issue with no fixes yet. Started for me with Safari update Version 13.1.2 on iMac.
Appreciate the respond. My iMac is a 2009 model so I no longer get free support. I'll look into reinstalling Safari and thanks again!
