I got a phone call saying my iCloud has been breached and not to use any financial things until I call a number that was given. Is this a scam?

I received a phone call saying my iCloud had been breached and not to do any financial things until call a number that was left, is thus a scam?

It is indeed a scam.


Apple does not make such calls.

All such calls are scams from criminals attempting to steal your personal and financial information. The callers will often use number spoofing to pretend they are calling from a legitimate business. The correct course of action is to hang up on them, repeatedly if needed.
