Robo call saying my Apple account has suspicious activity

I just received a robo call (not a real person) that said my apple ID has had suspicious activity and then it said to not do any money related actions on my phone and gave me an 800# to call. Since it's a Robo call I don't trust it. Is this how Apple would let me know of suspicious activity on my Apple account?

Apple does not make such calls.

All such calls are scams from criminals attempting to steal your personal and financial information. The callers will often use number spoofing to pretend they are calling from a legitimate business. The correct course of action is to hang up on them, repeatedly if needed.
