Safari Favorites have disappeared

Hi Everyone!,

I have an ongoing issue where my safari favorites aren't displaying as they used to.Look at the pictures of what I mean.

Vs My MacBook Air --->

Although I have favorites they display in favorites bar but not on this screen

above image is of favorites in safari. Also when I click the bookmarks dropdown --> Show Favorites it's not getting tick marked.
