Received an old computer?
Through the Apple Education Discount, I purchased a NEW Macbook Air 13in in June 2019. I have my order and everything. After having to switch to online classes and having to use zoom, I was made aware of the fact that my computer is a Macbook Air 13in from 2017 due to the fact that I can't use virtual backgrounds. Why did I get an old computer? Did they not make an updated Macbook Air in 2019? I understand it has been a year, but would I be able to return it? There's no damage to the computer whatsoever, and all of the software and such is up-to-date. I looked at the trade-in value, and it only says $360, which is ridiculous considering I bought the computer exactly 1 year ago, and Apple gave me an old one. I also understand it was/is up to me to check for this, but I assumed that since I was buying from Apple's direct website, and a NEW computer, it would be correct.
