Unable to paste from Numbers to Pages

I am unable copy & paste anything (text, numbers, etc.) from Numbers (version 6.1) to Pages (version 10.1). I can however paste from Numbers to TextEdit, then form TextEdit to Pages, so the copying part is obviously working. This has been an ongoing problem with previous versions of the apps and OS (I am currently running Mojave). Had hoped that updates would fix the problem, but no luck.

Update to Numbers v10.1. Copy the selected Numbers table to the clipboard, and then in Pages, simply Edit menu : Paste Formula Results.
