Why won't Pages copy and paste into Keynote anymore?

I just upgraded to Keynote version 10.1 (6913) today and now I cannot copy text from Pages onto a Keynote slide. I can work around it by copying it first to textedit, but that is not convenient. Is anyone else having this issue? Is there a solution?

iWorks copy & paste problem Now I am using M1 MacBook Pro 13inch. Last one was MacBook Pro 15inch 2015. I still using this one and there is no issue. However, In my new MacBook, It is not possible to paste text copied from Pages into Keynote.

Can't copy from Pages to Keynote on Mac Does anyone know how to copy and paste text from Pages to Keynote? I can copy and paste the standard way using just about any other software, but Pages won't allow me to paste the text into Keynote.

Updating Pages to 10.1 solved it.
