Playlists recovery
How do I recover playlist content? Apple Music appears to have erased all songs on my playlists on my iPhone though they are still available on my MAC

Try turning turning on iCloud Music Library on your iPhone by going to Settings > Music > iCloud Music Library. Give it some time to load up and then check your playlists and see if the music has returned to your playlists.
