Where is Word on Macbook air?

MS Word/Office Does not come with a new Mac. You have to purchase/download it from Microsoft. Generally, the best way is with an Office 365 subscription.

Pages can be downloaded from the Mac App Store.

You download Pages from the App Store.

You have to purchase Office. Current choices are the subscription 365, or the one-time cost 2019.
