Can you conditional highlight a cell to show it contains a formula
I would like to conditional highlight a cell to show it contains a formula, can it be done in numbers

But I can't see a need to use CH for this.
Conditional Highlighting is used to highl;ight a cell when it contains a specific value or a value in a specific range, and is useful in cases where the value in the cell is likely to change, or it's relationship to the value it is compared with is likely to change.
A formula, once placed in a cell, usually remains the same until it is changed by a conscious action of the user.
While a conditional Highlight rule can't be used to change the fill colour of a cell by its presence or absence in/from a cell, you can set a specific fill colour for that cell using the Cell format inspector and the color picker. That colour will stay until you change it, which you would do when you removed the formula from that cell.
(For a column or row in which all cells contain formulas, you can select all cells in the row or column, and apply the same colour to each selected cell in a single step.
