Am I able to turn off the video and still have a phone call?

I have my MacBook Pro set to make calls via Factime. Am I able to turn off the video and still have a phone call?

MacBook Pro 16″, macOS 10.15

Yes. Just tap on the "Audio" button instead of the "Video" button to make an audio-only FaceTime call.

You can use FaceTime audio from the phone app.
