Do Not Disturb on Apple Watch

When I enable do not disturb on my Apple Watch, is it also automatically enabled on my iPhone also, or do I need to enable it on the phone also?

this is an option on apple watch, you can have do not disturb to be turned on on apple watch & thus iphone will be on do not disturb also, its called mirror

second option is to have do not disturb independent, that is if you turn on donot disturb on apple watch or on iphone, it will be just there on one device
