Enlarge Timeline

Hey Rich,

I can't figure out how to enlarge the timeline so I can see it better. I've found the zoom scale on the right which will expand the clips to see more, but I want to increase the vertical size OF the timeline. I found where someone said you could enlarge it by choosing view from the window tab in the task bar, but I don't see that option.

Help?

Timeline 3 quick timeline questions (basic). When I zoom out of the timeline, I still don't see the right portion of the clips and I am unable to move the "Out" cursor right anymore. Does this thing zoom out anymore so I can see the right portion of the clips in the timeline? 2. Is there a faster way to zoom timeline? The fastest way I know is to hold down command and press the + or - keys . . . usually multiple times. Is there anything quicker or smoother like in DaVinci Resolve where you simply hold down the Option key whilst moving the mouse scroll wheel? Is it possible to program FCP X to do this?

Final Cut Pro keeps adding 360º Transform to every clip i add to my timeline I have no idea why Final Cut Pro keeps doing this, but every clip I add to my timeline has the 360º Transform button checked. It's really frustrating to have to manually uncheck the 360º option for every clip I add to my timeline. I have no idea why the program is doing this as I never asked for that setting. But its slowing me down. Thank you in advance to anyone who knows how to disable this by default.

Hi, mfschumpert,

Click on the Settings button located above the timeline to the right of your screen. In the dialog box that appears you will see a slider where you can adjust the clip size.
