iCloud Backup is not backing up due to storage.

I have already minimized storage for iCloud, and when I try to back up my phone it just says that the backup size is too large. The “next backup size” is well under 5gb.

Why is my backup 9.54 GB My phone won’t backup because I only have 5 GB of iCloud storage. I’m only using 4MB of data on it so it’s pretty empty, but for some reason the backup needs to take 9.54 GB, even though the apps that are being backed up only amount to 555MB, I don’t even save photos on the cloud so that isn’t it. iCloud backup - constantly not enough storage hi can anyone advise how to set up icloud backup? i have next to no files on my iphone, almost 5gb on my iCloud yet still whenever i want to back up my iphone i got prompt that backup cant be done as there is not enough space in the iCloud. currently there is one back up file in icloud and it takes whole 300mb so how come 5GB is not enough for another backup? thanks

If you can't back up to iCloud or restore from iCloud backup failed - Apple Support
