change apple id on macbook from husbands to my apple id

How can i change apple id on husband's macbook to my apple id BUT not change the apple id on his other devices (ipad, iphone). He will not be using his macbook in future and I want to access my icloud storage under my apple id.

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 10.15

If your husband isn't going to use the computer any more, ask him to complete the steps in the article below to make it 'your' computer.

You won't be able to do what you want because the Apple ID you want to change your husband's to already is in use, by you.
