Why doesn’t the photos I take with FaceTime save in my phone

It is likely that the other person has the option Allow Live Photos to be Captured during a FaceTime Video Call set to OFF in Settings âž” FaceTime. Both or All parties will need to have that option set to ON for the photo saving to work.
