Help - Lightning charger cable corrosion

Hey all,

I've found the 4th pin on my iPhone charger that has been blackened. Strange as my iPhone is 6-7 months old at best.

I have tried to rub it out but it appears that just removed a bit of the corrosion is there some kind of safe way of removing this out ?

Thanks for your answers.

Hello,

Yeah, that happens sometimes. If it still works, try not to worry too much.

Otherwise, just get a new one. They are available everywhere. If you get a non-Apple version make sure that it is MFi certified:

Identify counterfeit or uncertified Lightning connector accessories

Good luck.
