I just bought an Apple TV 3 and cannot sign into iTunes it while overseas. I have another Apple TV 3 and signed into it just fine. I when I try signing it is doesn't prompt for a two factor verification on the Apple TV 3 for iTunes.

In order to sign in it requires entering the password and code together. It is not possible to disable unless it was recently enabled, and only for up to 2 weeks. In the event one did it would not only make the account less secure, but disable features that require 2FA.
You will have to follow the steps exactly as outlined as that is the only way to sign in on older hardware.
So I have to type the 2FA code after my iTunes password altogether. That’s crazy.

2FA did prompt, but for iCloud only.
I'm assuming that if I disable 2FA it will work then? I tried doing that in my iTunes account, but there is way/option to disable it for some reason in the security settings. Will I have to call customer support for this? If so what is there number? Thx
Yes I did. It is only possible to disable 2FA if it had recently been enabled and it can only be done within the first two weeks. After that time it cannot be disabled. Contacting customer service will not bypass that.
Ultimately you need to follow the exact steps outlined above in order to sign in, since 2FA is optimized for newer software that cannot run on that hardware.
